Pre Christmas knees up. Fun begins at Bar Copa (used to be the Newt and Cucumber many moons ago. Gold star goes to the really old people who know the previous/ original pub name to that!). It’s on Warton Street, off St Mary Street. Apparently there is a wide selection of ales, continental beers and wines to be quaffed and a welcoming café style terrace. I’m sure we’ll add to the ambiance.

Thursday 22nd December

Great Festive Cake Bake Off. Club bar, after run. Everyone to join in creating, sampling and judging. Anything goes. Assessing criteria will be based on- name of creation, appearance, taste and if it can be consumed before, during and/or after running. There will be a prize to the winner.

Since 2004 she’s been dedicated to Les Croupiers, both in running and the social aspect. So we should celebrate appropriately.

1. Warm up drink. 7.30 Buffalo Bar, Windsor Place.
2. Live music. Gwdihw Café Bar, Guildford Crescent. Two bands; 'At Your Own Risk' and 'The Rain Band'. Tickets £5 on the door only.
3. Night club. Venue will be Jenny’s choice!

If you are certain that want to see the bands I have a guest list! Tickets still £5. Let me know in advance via forum, email, text or Thursday Club night.

Once again, you’re all invited, no excuses, dust off those dancing shoes!

Chosen a bar in town, so transport options easy. Also, admission is free, it's not too noisy, yet open beyond 10.30pm. Ensured it serves Horlicks too!

The last requests for tickets for the social evening at the Aberdare Hall is Sunday next (7th) (It takes place on Fri 19th). It is a really good night out, with a recommended superb buffet followed by the Summer T&F Awards. This year our Ladies topped the League, therefore it would be fitting if we had a fair tournout from Les Croups to receive their award.

It keeps 'em off the streets. Join the Masters for a slap up meal.

 Tickets are £15.00 (this is the first time the price has been increased for a few years). Nevertheless it always a truly enjoyable evening. Should any club members still wish to attend could they either contact me on 01656 720579 or Sue Hooper on 01633 881608.

This will give you a good 90 minutes of searching before finding a local watering hole (any suggestions?) to tot up the marks and award prizes.

I'll try and keep it like last year, so trotting round, not haring.
