Results
We aim to publish complete results as soon as possible for races we organise. Races members have competed in and whose organising clubs don’t (yet) have a site, may appear on this site too. I also try to archive as many results as I can for future reference. One thing that distinguishes a race
from a fun run
is that someone cares who came first, hence the recording of times and places, and then not throwing these away.
You can look up members’ performances from this year in the results database. We’ve had 1509 finishers in 181 races so far this year. This page will now only have the 20 most recent races.
Please remember that I don’t know about every race in the visible universe. I won’t know how you did unless you tell me. If you send me results, I need all the following: where a race was, when it was (races members compete in go into the calendar for next year, with very few exceptions, so I need to know the venue), preferably the number of finishers and a link. If you know of other club members in a race you did, it’s only polite to inform me about them too; don’t, however, rely on them to do this for you. I’d rather be told several times than not told at all.

Older Results
If you organise a race, and don’t have your own site, we’d be happy to publish the results from any format including plain text, Excel, and Word. We’ve noticed that many race sites don’t archive results older than their most recent race. We think that is a shame, and will archive results from any race that at least one member has run, gratis.
If you send up results, or post them on your own site in a format other than HTML, please consider using a spreadsheet format (like MS Excel) over any other option. Results are really just tables of data, and spreadsheets are the appropriate format: word processing (like Word) or who-knows-what (like PDFs) really aren’t.
