Winter inspiration - mud, sweat, ice and gears

Frozen to the marrow? Brass monkeys shuffling off to casualty? There's no denying it's pretty flippin' cold. Well snow, ice and hypothermia need not spoil your winter fun and with the cross season hitting it's peak and the Gwent cross country league approaching mid season, there's still an opportunity to hit the country either as a runner or a cyclist (it's a great opportunity to build some off season strength and create some room for the forthcoming mince pie fest). Incidentally, Jerry was spotted doing precisely this at the weekend at the excellent 'Cross by the Sea' race at Pembrey near LLaneli.

So if you think poor weather is a show stopper, think again. Have a look at the footage below. Warning: You may need to watch it whilst wrapped in a warm blanket and cupping a large mug of Mulligatawny soup (and I hope your Flemish is good....).
