Another successful VLM for Les Croups.

The running world proved it was made of tough stuff [never really in doubt] last Sunday as thousands turned out at the VLM a week after the tragic events in Boston and the club was there in force to support and run alongside. 29 members completed the course with 15 of those securing well earnt PB's, first man home Jerome Edwards, and first lady, Jessica P Williams. Jeff Aston continued his membership of the very exclusive 'ever presents' club, Mo Farah decided to copy Stu Crees and only run half way[!] and Stephen Paterson proved you can't run a marathon with one Glute missing!

A good few drinks were enjoyed at the Old Shades in the afternoon, and none more well earnt than by Dave E Williams who organised another faultless London trip - well done sir! Well done to all who ran, supported, and organised.

Tony Dorsett 1941-2013

Tony & Geoff

It is with great sadness that we must announce the death of Tony Dorsett after a long illness.

Tony was a long time member well known to many in the Club as one of 'Crinklies Corner'. Often sat alongside his running nemesis Geoff Wright, the two often battled, at a more sedate pace than the racing snakes of the Club, but they had a determined friendly rivalry that was as keen as any other.

Tony was an extremely personable and affable gentleman, this being evident on Saturday mornings with his long support for Cardiff parkrun. He was extremely proud of his parkrun 100 t-shirt, though he totalled 136 runs in all. His cheery greeting and smile will be missed by the many friends he made there too.

Tony we will all miss you.

Funeral Details:
