Feedback on the 2019 race

Please feedback all comments, thoughts and concerns to and we will pass these on the WCR organising commitee. Many thankt to those who have already responded. Just a few from those who took part are listed below:

Huge Thank you to every person who made Palestinian runners dreams come true! It is our first time running in Wales and we will definitely come back for such a great race! we enjoyed every part of the race weekend, the landscape, the people, the intense moments, the weather and specially the mountain stages! I didn't know what to expect before I started organising a trip for 11 Palestinians to Wales, I was nervous but I now I know that it was one of the best decisions we made! We ran freely in Wales, no borders, hopefully we will run freely in Free Palestine soon. See you at WCR 2020! (Right to Movement Palestine)

Thank you for another great race. Such fun and stunning views from Caernarfon to Cardiff. Thank you for your hard work, for such a well organised race. Thoroughly enjoyed by our club. Hope to see you next year (Clevedon AC)

Thanks again to lescroupiersrc, all the organisers and to all the other teams for making this such a great event. Until next year! (Team Bath AC)

Thanks for organising the Welsh Castles Relays, my team really enjoyed it and we had lots of first-timers. Well done to you all for a fab event (Telford Harriers)

It's official! @EnvAgency @DefraGovUK Harriers are the Business House champions of the @wcrelay 2019. We edged it by under 13 mins over 200+ miles - truly a team effort. Thank you @BurgesSalmon and @lescroupiersrc for making it happen (EnvAgency DEFRA)

Thanks to the @wcrelay team and everyone at @lescroupiersrc for putting on another cracking edition of the Welsh Castles  #wcrelay  #whiterockrunners also a big mention to all the other teams, marshalls and supporters out on the road who make the event what it isWhite Rock Runners Retweeted Welsh Castles Relay)

Thank you to everyone involved @wcrelay for another excellent weekend! And well done to all other teams for making it such a great event.  I personally cannot thank you and the team enough for both this and all the support and accommodation of us as a new team. We do appreciate just how difficult and the mountain range of hard work that it is to organise, administer and run such an event and hope you will have us back next year. The welcome and atmosphere has been inspiring for all our runners that took part, to such an extent that we have a very excited running community at ReAssure who are already planning to come back in 2020. Please pass on our thanks and gratitude to everyone involved in putting on WCR 2019, what a magnificent event! (Team Reassure)

Many thanks to all the organisers, officials, participants and supporters for another fantastic weekend's celebration of running. We know it's a mammoth logistical task to plan and organise of all this, but when you see the wonderful Team Spirit and togetherness shared by all the various clubs during the event, there can be no doubt how worthwhile all that effort has been. Looking forward to next year already (Brackla Harriers)

Can I firstly thank you, your team and all at Les Croupiers for organising another excellent Welsh Castle Relay weekend. It is a wonderful thing that you guys deliver each year and all of your hours and hours and planning and hard work is very much appreciated. We at Lytham, although missing a few of our stronger runners this year, still had a great time with a Ladies winner on Stage 4 being our highlight. Hopefully we should be back to full strength for next year. Thank you again (Lytham St Annes RRC)

A massive thank you from all the Ealing Eagles to everyone at Les Croupiers for another brilliant year at Welsh Castles. It was the first time for many of our group and they have all said what an epic time they had over the weekend. For those of us who have been before, well, it's always such a privilege to come again. It's such a special event - you really can't beat it. Thank you to all in your club who work tirelessly behind the scenes and on the front line before, during and after the weekend itself to ensure it's such a success. It was good to be able to pass on our thanks in person in the Elephant and Castle hotel on Saturday evening! Several of our group also told me over the weekend of individual encounters with lovely Les Croups marshals, time keepers and other club members. Your runners are also incredible and we enjoyed supporting and being supported by them on the way round. Hopefully the dust settles relatively quickly for you all, and you can get some rest. Do let me know if there's any outstanding information you require from us. We look forward to confirmation of the results, and of course to doing it all again (all being well) in 2020. With very best wishes (Ealing Eagles)

...and my favourtite

"I was the Altrincham runner for leg 16 yesterday and just wanted to pass on thanks to the runner that gave me an energy gel with approx 1 mile to go - who looking at the results I think must have been James Bruce. I wanted to come and find him at the finish to thank him properly but didn't get the chance, so if it was James, please pass on my thanks now. His small act of kindness was just another example of the amazing camaraderie between teams all weekend, but it was massively appreciated by me. Congratulations to everyone on another amazing weekend, I can't wait to be back next year" (Cheers Mike!)
