Gwent League 2011/12 kicks off

Many thanks to everyone from the club who supported, ran or baked cakes for Les Croups at yesterday's opening round of this season's Gwent League XC series at Newbridge Fields, Bridgend.

Following two "climate changed assisted" opening Bridgend fixtures in 2010 and 2009 the weather was very much of the 'classic' XC variety with drizzle, mud and breeze aplenty. 80 (EIGHTY) runners from the club took part.

Planning your winter racing - forthcoming Gwent league fixtures

Blaise Castle is on the horizon. So as before, please let you Captains know well in advance that you are planning to run (certainly by the Thursday prior to the race) and remember to turn up 1 hour (minimum) before the race start. If you don't, you'll sadly miss out on the opportunity to save £4 and race for one of the nominated teams. So........fixtures to look out for:

Gwent League Bath - 14th November

There is a coach booked for Bath on Sunday 14th November.

Phil is away at the moment, therefore I took it on myself to arrange the start time of 9.30 am. This covers any traffic hold ups and also enables any officials from our club to arrive in time to help organise.

It is a 51 seater, therefore should accommodate all the names given to Phil.

Do not forget to tell your captains, Phil and Yvonne, that you are competing.

These will be held at Singleton Park, Swansea on Saturday 20 February 2010.

Welsh Masters XC Championships

On Sunday 13th December is the Welsh Masters XC Champs being held at the Show Ground in Builth Wells, if you are 35 or over you can enter, we would like to see as many as possible from the Club running. If you wish to run please let me know by Sunday (Gwent League) at the latest, I'll only enter people who give me their names.
