Positions After 9 events - Merthyr 10k

The Merthyr 10k has produced a change at the top of the Ladies’ and Men’s Championship. Julie Scholey has surged into the lead of the Ladies' Championship with Catherine Beecher closing the gap at the top. Annie Conroy and Mal Rowson have also used the race to make a challenge for the leading positions.

In the Men’s Championship, Martin Williams has returned to the top as a result of an excellent performance at Merthyr. In fact, Martin was our first runner home despite the challenge of Dave Headon. Matthew Hopkins has retained third spot but Gerry Crispie and Andrew Russell have made significant moves up the table.

Enjoy the challenge.

Current Positions (after 8 events – Magor Marsh 10k)

The Ladies’ Championship has yet to fire the imagination of our members but there are still five races left to influence matters.

The Men’s Championship has seen the evergreen Mick McGeogh edge ahead of Martin Williams. The top five have run at least five races and must continue to compete in order to preserve their lead.

In fact, members who have not started their campaign yet could force their way into the leading positions if they compete in all the remaining races.

Tactics at this stage could prove decisive.

Do not be disappointed, enter early.
