Excellent photos of a quite excellent race !
Thank you to all concered.
P.S.
How did Kev Lewis of Neath (557)do so well with only 1 leg ???
Dave,I must with agree Andy - 10/10.
Some cracking shots, Dave. Well done. You've even managed to capture the moment Richie broke away from Phil Crane.
A Prize for "Face of the Race" - it's got to be the defending champion Huw Roberts (691) - he makes every step look like he's in agony.
On a personal note - great to see Greg Newhams (577) back racing, even if it needed a wide angled lens to get him all in shot. This boy is class! Hope someone bought him some Grecian 2000 for Christmas.
Finally - a mystery. Where is Flash's race number? Should we make him pay double on Thursday?
A big thank you to everyone who made this an excellent race and day out.
I'd like to agree with Mick it was nice to see Greg Newhams atthe Old Father Time. It proves that class runners never fade away, Racing is in our blood. Thanks to all who were involved for a really good race.also the excellent photos of the event even if I did have only one Leg. Kev Lewis
Please can I be cheeky and ask if there are any pictures featuring a handsome chap with the number 569 available ?.Anything for a quiet wife !!!.
P.S.
I think you'd still beat most with one leg as well Kev !!
Sorry, Andy, I can't find any photos of you. There was someone else taking pictures; maybe he'll have some (if he reads this).
Many thanks anyway Dave, looks like my "dragon" will have to carry on believing I was still in a ditch after New Years Eve !!
GREAT PHOTOS DAVE, BUT WHERE ARE THE RESULTS?
Just seen the results.Any chance I could have my "status" changed to V45 please ?.Sorry if that's a bit "picky" but I have my reasons.
Again thanks to all for a good day !
You'll need to tell me your full name for that Andy.
Whisper it carefully,MORTON.
Yes anyone else reading this,I am 45 although I know in a good light I look 18 !!!
Did anyone notice the impact Yvonne had then? "Where are the results?" she demanded, and quick as a flash, they were there.
I seem to remember being on a bus to the Eldersfield Beer Race, about 20 years ago, and Yvonne demanding of a shy young male runner "You're ignoring me!"
Result: Richie never did again!
Moral of the story: Don't mess with Yvonne! Doing so carries a Government Health Warning!
I've just seen your comments Mick and may I remind you that behind every successful man there's an assertive woman (so says the cyclist Lance Armstrongs wife - Kirsten). In this world I have realised if you don't ask, you don't get.
Great pictures of many familiar faces in the usual agonised position and we enjoy this. Hope to be competing again in afew months time, Althougth some of those times in the Father 5 mile were pretty scary. Kev with one leg ? you were always the one with the excuse.
Hi Phil - great to hear from you and sorry we haven't seen you on the roads for a while - will look forward to a few tussles with you, hopefully sooner rather than later! Best wishes
