Christmas activities

December 22, 2004

No rest for the wicked. If you wish to shift those extra pounds over Christmas then you’re in for some luck. As Mick mentioned in an earlier post, due to the fortuitous timing of Yuletide, the club is able to open on both the 23rd and 30th of December. Mr Alan Mann will be hosting his Christmas morning run, leaving the club at 8:30 I believe (check the comments against this post as I’m sure somebody will correct me if I’m wrong). Clare is also planning to have a club social run over the Christmas and New Year period, again meeting at the club. The traditional time of the social run is 10am though the date is TBA. Again check comments against this post.

I’ll take this opportunity to wish all members of the club a very merry Christmas and a happy and successful 2005.

Thanks, Simon. I would like to urge as many members as possible to take advantage of the club's impressive social network over the Festive period. Of course the holiday's all about being with families, eating and drinking without worrying too much about putting on a few pounds. However, after you've watched "Only Fools and Horses" for the 99th time, or played endless games of Charades (or, indeed, whatever you get up to over Christmas!) it is nice to get out with a few running friends and get those legs turning over again. So please come into club, and bring your friends / family with you. Enjoy yourselves! Posted by: mick at December 22, 2004 10:46 AM
The xmass day run will start at 9 AM and will beb the summer severn run. A mince tart to all that turn up. thanks Posted by: ALAN MANN at December 22, 2004 10:07 PM
It's a long way to the Bristol Channel, Alan. I could use a tart though. Posted by: Dave at December 22, 2004 11:48 PM
So let me get that right, a Christmas Day run at 9am to the Bristol Channel so Dave can get a mincing tart? Posted by: Matt at December 23, 2004 09:00 AM
You know me too well, Matt. See you on Saturday? Posted by: Dave at December 23, 2004 09:22 AM
I'm really sorry to have to miss out on Alan's Festive frolic! I will however, will be getting an early hour of exercise round the lanes of the Vale. Even though the forecast is for cold weather, my spirits will be kept warm by the thought of Dave "using a tart". Would you care to eloborate, Dave? Posted by: mick at December 23, 2004 10:53 AM
