The ghost runner lives…

Amazingly, I received a lovely letter from the Flora London Marathon this morning congratulating me on completing my 23rd consecutive London Marathon in 3:20:47. How did I manage this considering you all thought I was stood at the 16-mile point supporting other runners?

Do I have a double? Or did I carry out my threat of sneaking into someone else’s bedroom the night before the race and putting my own Championchip in their shoes? Just who was the victim?

So is there a ghost runner in the London Marathon or have I simply fabricated all this evidence just for "peace of mind"? Find out more in next year’s enthralling episode…

Thanks John, you're a true friend. From memory, I seem to remember your time this year being 2:43. Seeing as my worst time in 22 years has been 2:37, it clearly wasn't worth my while putting my kit on just to humiliate you once again.

Ghost runner my ars he could`nt keep up with Eryl running around around the course watching us run our guts out, or in some cases plodding along enjoying the sights thinking how much further is there to go.Mind you i would`nt have put it passed him to sneek in to someone`s room, but that would not have been to swap the chip would have it been now Mick.
