LCRC races

Race with us.

You don't have to race if you don't want to, but if you like to challenge yourself we are well represented at road and offroad races and the Gwent League cross country championships.

We also organise our own races from 5k to 40 miles and of course the famous Welsh Castles relay.

Training for a new distance?

We have plenty of experienced runners who will help you work out a training plan for any distance you want to run.

Why not try our "Couch to 5K" too.

LCRC

Our main club evening is our Thursday Evening social run, meeting at Llandaff Rugby Club in time for a seven o'clock start.

We offer five, seven and ten mile routes and will make sure that whatever your pace you will have someone to run with.

There are shower and changing facilities at the club. There is also a bar with hot food available.

We encourage as many people as possible to stay on after the run for a drink, a meal and a chat as well as to hear our club announcements.

We have other Club Training Sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings as well as a Sunday long run.

Feel free to attend as many or as few of these sessions as you want.

We also organise a variety of formal and informal social events throughout the year.

The best way to find out what we do is to give us a try! We encourage anyone interested in joining to come and run with us a few times. Then if you like what we do you can join.

We run in lots of great races.

We have interesting training sessions.

We have fun club evenings.

Club Safety Guidelines

The following advice is intended to keep our runners SAFE at all times!
It is also essential that, whilst out running as a club, we are seen to be polite, responsible, set a good example & not put others at risk.
AT ALL TIMES BE SAFE BE SEEN! You can never be too visible! During the day, always wear bright or light-coloured clothing - fluorescent is good.
At night we would strongly recommend that people ALWAYS wear light-coloured clothing plus a REFLECTIVE (not just fluorescent) bib or sash.
Clip on flashers are a great way to be seen. NEVER ASSUME YOU'VE BEEN SEEN. Always be cautious with traffic.
We would like to remind people that they are responsible for their own safety and that they run at their own risk.
